SAFETY: All guests and parent/guardians of all children attending a party/event at Sew Fun! Parties are to read our Policies and the Release Waiver and Indemnification Agreement. Small children who attend parties/events should be supervised by an adult at all times.
PAYMENT: Whenever possible, we encourage secure online payments for deposits and registration. Payments may also be made with a credit card over the phone. A $50 deposit is required to reserve a part/event date. A birthday party/event is $250 for up to 10 guests. $20 is charged for each additional guest over 10 for birthday parties and over 8 for the Jean Bag Set. Full payment is due at the end of the party/event. Full payment is required to reserve a space in a workshop, class or camp. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Because payments/deposits are non‐refundable and non‐transferable, a credit will be given towards a future party, event, class, camp, etc. A gratuity for the staff is customary and appreciated.
PARTY/EVENT DETAILS: Party Days/Times are: Saturdays at 12 pm or 2 pm. Sundays will be used for overflow or as a makeup day due to inclement weather. Parties/Events are approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Party/Event set-up can begin no more than 15 minutes prior the assigned party/event time. All guests are asked arrive by the assigned party/event time, as all of the time allocated for the project, is needed. Party T-shirts are available for the guest of honor for an additional fee.
CHANGE OF PARTY/EVENT DATE: Party/event dates can only be changed in the event of power outages, inclement weather, or illness.
PHOTOS/VIDEO: Photos/videos from parties/events, camps, classes and other events may be published on our website, Facebook, or in printed advertisements.
RETURNED CHECKS: Any check returned for insufficient funds will be subject to a $25 fee, and other collection and attorney’s fees as may be provided by law.
REGISTRATION/PERMISSION FORM: Workshop, class or camp registration can be completed online or by phone. Parents/Guardians are responsible for completing an online Registration/Permission Form and submitting it before the beginning of a class, camp, or workshop.
EMERGENCY CONTACT INFORMATION: It is the sole responsibility of the Parent/Guardian to ensure that Sew Fun! Parties has current contact information for medical and non-medical emergencies. All Parents/Guardians are required to complete the Sew Fun! Parties Registration/Permission Form upon initial registration, and include all relevant medical and contact information. The Parent/Guardian shall promptly notify us if there is a change in mailing address, telephone number, email address, medical information, authorized caregivers, and emergency contact information.
FULL CLASSES: When a class is full, registration will be closed. You may add your child to the waiting list. You can find the link on the ____ page.
If we have any cancellations or add a new class, we will draw from the waiting list in the order that a registration was received.
MATERIALS: Materials for Summer Camps, After School, Private Lessons and all sewing classes, are due on the first day of class. Materials for Holiday Camps and some workshops are included in the registration fee.
MISSED CLASSES: If your child(ren) needs to miss a class, please call us prior to the start of the scheduled class. When possible, we will schedule a make-up class during the same week.
MEDICAL: For your child’s safety, Parents/Guardians are responsible for providing detailed information on our online Permission Form regarding all medical conditions (such as allergies, diabetes, etc.) as well as behavioral and/developmental conditions (such as ADHD, autism, etc.). We require all children who are prescribed an epi-pen, inhaler, or diabetic monitor carry it with them at all times while on the premises, no exceptions. Parents/Guardians assume full responsibility for their child’s allergies and medical conditions.
FOOD ALLERGIES: We strive to be allergy conscious and provide a safe environment for your child. Parents/Guardians are responsible for indicating any allergies or other medical conditions of the child on the Permission Form, and promptly updating us if there are any changes to the information. Sew Fun! Parties exercises reasonable care and precautions to minimize the risk of food-related allergic reactions during after school classes and summer camp snack time, including implementing and communicating, a no-nut snack policy; however, Sew Fun! Parties does not in any way ensure that the risk of food-related allergic reactions are completely mitigated, nor does it assume liability for any food-related allergic reactions.
SICK POLICY: If your child is ill or feeling under the weather, please refrain from sending your child to the studio. We reserve the right to restrict admission or send a child home, when we believe a child is ill or risks the health or well-being of other children. Please contact us to schedule a sick day make-up session.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: We will follow the Charlotte Mecklenburg Public School System schedule in the event of inclement weather. If the studio is closed due to weather, we will notify you of make-up classes. If school is delayed, the studio will hold classes at its regular time; however, please contact us if it is not possible for your child to attend.
